We welcome you to bring any old pieces of jewellery or loose stones to be made into something new. Although providing some or all of the materials yourself, it may not be possible or as cost effective as you might imagine. Using old materials can take extra time as we need to separate the pieces, sort, test & melt the metal and even re-polish old stones before we can begin making anything. Sometimes, more time is required preparing the pieces than if starting from fresh stock gauge material or new stones.
Our aim is to be as transparent as we can and educate you about the cost and your options. To give you an idea of what to expect we have created some common remodel scenarios below.
Test, Melt + Roll from $150 - MANDATORY if bringing your own metal.
Before we can use your metal in ANY project we must conduct a ‘test, melt + roll’ procedure. The cost to do this is from $150 and is based on the amount of metal supplied, stone extraction, metal separation or any alloying.
Stone re-cutting from $200
A service we offer to remove chips and scratches from well loved stones. Each stone is quoted individually.
Plain wedding ring from $400
This is the starting cost to make a plain wedding ring using your metal. The addition of extra gold, stones or engraving will be more.
Medallion Pendant from $350
Best way to use small amounts of metal.
Single stone ring from $1400
This is the starting cost of design and labour using ALL your own materials. The addition of extra gold, stones or engraving will be more.
Multi-Stone set ring from $2000
This is the starting cost of design and labour using ALL your own materials. The addition of extra gold, stones or engraving will be more.
