Design Your Own Jewellery
We have extensive knowledge and expertise and we will walk you through all the options in easy to understand language. Just a quick email or phone call to us and we will have your queries formulated into actual ideas and possibly even a quote.

Our Approach
Our specialty is custom making jewellery with our client in the driving seat. The core to our process is to consult with you on your desires and work with you on your preferred spend and draw up your options for you to see.
All the while we are ensuring we can be as low impact as possible with our dedication to responsible sourcing and ethical manufacture.
Our Design Ethos
Jewellery must be comfortable, easy to wear and able to stand the test of time. We design for a lifetime of wear and beyond because we wholeheartedly believe that jewellery should be designed and made to be beautiful, but also functional.
The Custom Process

When you reach out via email or phone we will discuss your jewellery ideas with you, gathering the basics of your project to see if we are a good fit for each other.
From here we may arrange a longer consultation in person or over the phone/video call.
It is helpful if you have a budget in mind at this stage as it helps us to advise within your requirements and recommend designs and gemstones accordingly.

Once we have your parameters in focus we will get back to you with some preliminary ideas. This may be in the form of photos, wax carvings, silver prototypes or, most commonly, scaled images of your design concepts with accompanying quotes.
From here the designs may evolve through several iterations before the final design is reached.
At this point, we may have sourced specific stones for you and you may opt for an in person or video link with us to see these stones or simply to discuss your ideas in further detail.

With your design selected we ask for a 50% deposit to custom make your piece.
With the deposit we will secure your selected stone/s and draw your design with the use of CAD (computer aided design) so you can see precise, colour images of your piece to scale. We even make a video of your jewellery so you can see it from all angles.
If required we can make any final tweaks to the design at this stage too.

It's time for you to relax as we now begin to work our magic.
All of our jewellery is made to order, by us, in our Melbourne studio. This process varies from job to job but, on average, takes 6-10 weeks to complete.

When your custom-made piece of jewellery is finished we will reach out to arrange a collection time and for the balance to be paid.
We encourage, where possible, you to come into the studio for the big reveal, this way we get to see the big smiles! When that isn’t possible we can arrange for a fully insured, express delivery to you anywhere in Australia.

All of our custom made jewellery comes with an annual clean and polish service which goes hand in hand with our lifetime manufacturing guarantee.
We recommend having your jewellery cleaned and any gemstones checked annually and offer this service free to our clients.
Taking care of your jewellery will ensure it can be enjoyed for generations to come.
From Design To Finished Piece
We understand that imagining your ideas in reality can be difficult. That is why we offer hand drawn sketches and even CAD (computer aided design) to assist in the design process.

Anything! The sky is the limit. From nose rings to knuckle dusters (and you want it made from precious metals) we can help. Our speciality is engagement and dress rings but we won’t shy away from the obscure either! Get in touch if you have a special request.

Unfortunately, this is an open end question. The cost varies so much depending on the chosen metal, gemstones and the design.

Yes, and this process is known as remodelling. We will need to check your items over and where applicable have them tested. You can read more about this here.

There are two parts to the custom design process.
The first is the design phase and this varies anywhere from a couple of days to a few weeks. We allow between 2-6 weeks for a complex the design. In this time we will be sourcing specific stones for you, drawing up concepts & quoting on your different options. This is the time to perfect your design.
Once we have completed the design phase (as detailed above) we can begin making your ring. Manufacture takes 6-8 weeks. So in all it can vary from 8-14 weeks, give or take.
